DINNER/DANCE WITH THE VERDICT:
(Mostly) comprised of (mostly) hard-working Ottawa lawyers-by-day-musiciansby-
night, The Verdict is a nine-piece rock n’ roll band that plays a limited number
of fundraising events each year on behalf of worthwhile local charities.
The Verdict belts out cover tunes that get a thirty something-and-over crowd
tapping their toes and onto the dance floor. OAFM member and Ottawa mediator
Gerry “Stratman” Yemensky plays lead guitar. He and the band always put on an
energetic show, perfectly suited for a celebration!
The Verdict has contributed its talents to fundraising for the Canadian Cancer
Society, the Children’s Hospital for Eastern Ontario (CHEO), the Children’s Wish
Foundation, the Children of Chernobyl, Easter Seals, Ottawa Hospital
Foundation, the Ottawa Humane Society, Ottawa Regional Cancer Centre Clean
Water Project and many other community charities in the Ottawa region.
